How do I know my gold jewellery is real?
Our trained staff will test your jewellery on the spot to determine the karat and value.
What payment type will I receive for my scrap jewellery?
Our staff do not carry cash, therefore you'll receive payment by check or by bank deposit if so requested. Special cases may apply.
How much do you pay?
Once we determine the karat value and weight of the metal we'll pay you a percentage according to the market spot price. You will receive a higher price for minted coins that don't require melting. Our price for scrap jewellery is quite high, much higher than is offered by your standard jeweller.
What if I decide I don't want to sell?
Not a problem. We are an obligation free service and will not pressure you to sell anything you don't want to.
What if I have stones in my jewellery? Can I have them returned or removed?
Our specialty is precious metals so we don't remove stones during the purchase process. If you would like to keep the stones that are in your jewellery we highly recommend that you have them removed professionally by a jeweller before selling your scrap.
I want to host a gold party. What do I need to do?
If you're ready to host a gold party visit our contact page and give us a call and/or email and we'll book a date for you. We'll even set you up with an online invitation that you can email to all your friends and family! The invite will provide a reminder to guests the day before the gold party so no one misses out.
How The Party Works
Step One - We schedule a date and location for your party, and than we help you get the word out.
Step Two - Guests bring their old and unwanted gold jewelry, scrap platinum, sterling silver, coins, etc...
Step Three - Guests are attended to on an individual basis by one of our appraisers, who will clean and spot test the jewellery for value.
Step Four - A price is offered (determined by karat, weight and that day’s market price) and the guest chooses whether he/she would like to sell.
Step Five - If the guest chooses to sell, they are paid right on the spot.
Step Six - At the end of the party the host receives their 10% commision on sales.
Is there a guest minimum in order to host a gold party?
There is no guest minimum.
What can I do to make my gold party a success?
The best way to insure success is to invite as many people a possible. We also recommend that you provide basic finger foods and drinks for guests. For an extra special event of 12 or more guests we'll cover a percentage of the food costs (alcoholic beverages not included) if gold sales reach $3000. Be sure to keep your food receipts so we can properly reimburse you.
Do you provide any form of entertainment for gold parties?
If your party has 20 or more gold selling guests we'll bring a complimentary comedian or entertainer. This is great fun, and especially effective for fundraising events.
How much can I make as a gold party host?
That's up to you. The more people you invite and the more gold they bring to sell, the more money you will make as a gold party host. The amount of money you make is proportionate to the amount of gold bought and sold. As a gold party host, you not only get to sell your gold at the party, you will also make 10% of the party's total gold sales. The average gold party takes in $4,500. That means $450 for you from the sale of your guest’s gold.
Are there any incentives for encouraging my guests to book their own gold party?
Absolutely. Any party booked from your party makes you money. A whopping 5% of all subsequent gold parties is yours. Be sure to encourage your guests to book a gold party of their own. Not only is it a money maker for them, it means more cash for you!
How long will the party last?
That depends on how many guests are attending and the amount of gold being sold. The average party lasts approximately 2 hours.
Is there a minimum for your gold pick-up service?
Partly. Before booking your appointment we'll confirm how many pieces of scrap jewellery you are planning on selling and may ask you to, if possible, read the karat value engraved on the jewellery. Our minimum isn't much for gold pick-ups, a few pieces of genuine gold jewellery is usually enough.
Am I obligated to sell my jewellery once you've arrived at my home?
No. We do ask that you call us before hand if you've decided not to sell your scrap jewellery prior to our arrival.
How much do you pay for referrals?
We pay a 5% commission for completed transactions on all first time referrals. Repeat referrals will generate a 6% - 10% commission, and those looking to get involved in the business can become associates and earn between 15% and 20% per transaction. To become an associate you need to make at least 15 referrals, at which point we'll offer you an associates kit, and provide you with all the promotional materials you'll need to make a business. How much could I earn as an associate?
Depending on your character, and how much you wish to promote your business there's no reason why you can't earn a very good income. Remember that you're not selling anything, your offering a tangible service for those looking to turn their scrap jewellery into cash. We'll provide you with all the promotional materials you'll need, and we'll also provide you with support every step of the way.
